Seeing as someone's mildly harassing me to update...:-P
I'm at Eastern now. The teacher's strike was a pain in the ass, but half of my classes met despite it and all of my classes started up a week or two later. I like most of my classes. Despite not coming in due to the strike, my genetics teacher is very personable/entertaining. My chemistry teacher irks me. If he's as harsh on grading as he makes himself sound, I'm going to have to see about switching classes. Plus he mumbles and seems like a union lackey weenie. I've also got an elementary linear algebra class that is going decently now that we're actually into matrices, a speech class that is going decently despite my hatred of public speaking, and health that is very, um, required-health-class-like. There's construction going on for a new student center that is right in my path to one of my first classes and back from one of my last on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Once that's over with, it will probably take half the time to get to and from those classes. My dorm room is kind of decent. It constantly needs to be disinfected to fight off smells though and my suite-mate is making a mess of the bathroom. Pretty soon I'm putting biohazard signs on all the stuff he leaves on the floor and eventually resorting to the more blunt, "Pick up your crap, dumbass," if that doesn't work.
I finally broke down and got Guitar Hero. A few days later, Dannielle got a controller for herself as well as addicted her family to the game when I took her home for the weekend and let her borrow it. It could use more songs, and it's a pain to get used to the controls, but it's still really fun, once you get used to it.
I wasn't able to get to either of the two Eryndor co-hosted events. I had my doubts about my car making it there and back to either one of them and had a ton of homework. Plus, my finger still hadn't healed from the ripped blister by last weekend and my nose is still fucked up from that glaive shaft to the nose. This weekend, Dannielle wanted me to take her to visit her family and I wasn't really looking forward to driving 6 hours one way alone to set up my tent at midnight and fight for a day. That, and I'm pretty much out of money thanks to classes and books. At least I got some studying in, got my reading done for two of my classes, and finished reading The Relic again. There's another event this coming Sunday, put on by one of the new Adrian splinter groups. It's looks like it's free, so I might make it as it's not far from my home and Dannielle's home.
