Old fish
I felt bad for posting the new ones without showing the guys I've had since September. I used Bettas as the centerpiece for my wedding in September. People got to take them home afterwards. I printed out fancy sheets to explain how to take care of them and even got little mesh pouches for some food they could have for a while. There were 15 tables so we bought 17 fish in case some... well went belly up. None of them did though!

He was purchased when we went to the pet store to take a look at the bettas and see if they'd have enough/when they got them in etc. He's the dirty one. I clean all their tanks at the same time but somehow, his always gets dirty faster than anyone elses. This is the only picture I have of him where he doesn't look all black. I put him in the sun for this one.
Gargamel and Murdoc were the two that were 'extras'. They were the ugliest of the bunch but that doesn't mean I love them any less.
Gargamel could be the ugliest betta I've ever seen. Now that I've had him for a while he's a little more colorful but he's had fin rot the whole time. He's fine and still eats like a pig... it's just that every now and then pieces of his tail fall off. I keep his water super clean and even bought melafix (or whatever it's called) but it keeps happening. I think :crosses fingers: it's finally growing back for good. He's kinda my favorite.
Murdoc is, I think, the smartest of the bunch. He's a much brighter orange than he was when we first got him. His tank is kind of in the corner right now and he spends most of his time staring at the wall.
Liam (my 3 yr. old son) 'fed' the fish the other morning.
Poor Murdoc didn't know what to do with himself.
