Warp woes, moving and pms
Yeah, I know. I haven't gotten anything done.
I'm feeling all kinds of cruddy physically thanks to PMS. I'm feeling depressed because we want to MOVE. There have been 2 shootings in our apartment parking lot in the last week, one of which took out the passenger back window of our new car. I've been looking for months for a new place for us, but now it's getting desperate! And nothing in our area is in our budget. So I'm really down.
We've been driving around street-by-street to find houses and apartments for rent that aren't in the local paper or Craigslist, or the standard apartment guides. So far we found one or two that looked good on paper, but were impossible IRL. (Isn't that always the way?)
The Laser Discs Dave sent me have become warped over time. Laserdiscs do that. That's one reason they don't make 'em anymore. Also, they're stupidly huge.
I can fix them (and I have Dave's permission to do so.) but it involves heating sheets of glass, and a large tub of 100 degree F water, not to mention a safe flat surface and a surfeit of heavy books and TWO DAYS EACH. Lets think about that, shall we? my cramped apartment, with an autistic nine year old boy, a hyper active six year old girl, and a toddler girl about to turn two. ... There is NOWHERE I can put hot glass and a stack of heavy books for two days flat.
Every time I think about it all I just want to go hide under the covers. Stuff like this drives me right up a wall. Seriously, I'll have to rearrange my dining room table to fit this stuff.
