Fic notes and wankage
Ok, so after this I will be posting my fic for camelotsolstice and thus, de-anoning of my own accord. In all fairness, I want to make several things known and I didn't want to junk-up the actual fic post with it all.
This prompt was originally from wordsdiminish who dropped-out of the fest. At first, admittedly, I was a bit peeved. Truthfully at this point, I think she was probably the smarter one. From the get-go there were problems, but those of us who stuck around did so hoping it was all temporary.
After way more weeks than should be, not only are not all the fics posted to the comm, but the mod seems to be AWOL insofar as the community itself is concerned. She is perfectly content to make comments on others' journals and post in her own - as for us, we're old news I'm guessing she's bored with. Which is sad and altogether disheartening.
So, as spurred-on by another participant, we are all just voluntarily de-anoning and posting our works to our journals. As my reciprocal fic was never actually posted to the comm (along with several others) I can only hope that I am able to see if any of my prompts came to fruition through the efforts of one who stuck-it-out like myself or a glorious pinch-hitter who deserves more chocolate covered Arthur & Merlin's than I could ever produce.
I did start a totally different story based on one of the prompts, which I am still working on. I like that story too, and I hope alongside my paperlegends fic I can find time to complete it. But, this is what came out of my brain after worrying about having an OC in the first fic, worrying about finishing and finally realizing I just wouldn't and needed to get *something* out there for the "deadline". Which is partially why now it seems like the cruelest joke in history that we actually *had* a deadline.
No, I'm not happy. But, I hope you like the story that comes next as much as I do. I had fun writing it, even though I sortof used my own apathy toward the holiday season to create it. :) It has Merlin/Arthur and bathroom sex. Honestly, what better thing can you craft out of a scrooge-like holiday season?!
