Question re: Merlin (character)
Ok, I hate meta generally, so this is as close as I'm going to get. :D I'd like some general thoughts from the assembled populace though in regards to Merlin's *actual* competence as a manservant once we get into S2.
I would think that perhaps he was indeed crap at it in S1 since it wasn't exactly something he'd been trained for or even anticipating upon travelling to Camelot.
But, for purposes of fics set in/after S2, I would imagine that aside from their banter and "personal relationship" Merlin would be a sight bit better at the whole gig. What do you all think? I just happen to be writing a fic and pondering this question for purposes of my characterization. Thought I'd throw it out for everyone to gnaw on. ;-)
