Is Lord of the Rings over-rated... the movies i mean???

Wooo, okay baby, sorry... didn't mean to get anyone angry... I could only hear Lord of the Rings in the Back ground (I was focused on someone I deemed much more important than a second LOTR experience, I don't know if you should be flattered sexy :P) and as I said to you last night I could only hear the soundtrack!
Though I do agree with Ally, I almost fell asleep in the first movie, the only thing keeping me awake was the sugar and Kelly’s inane giggles :P hehehe! Though that is entirely my opinion and in the correct company I may enjoy the experience ;) (it also might help if I wasn’t high on sugar and lack of sleep I’m almost positive).
I am very impressed with the special effects used in LOTR one, as previously discussed I can't comment on the second effort made by Peter Jackson and his 'crew'! I was, and still am impressed with the effort put in to pull together a movie of such caliber.
My question, or comment, which ever you choose to describe it as should have been rather... 'Are the movies an effective and accurate representation of the original product?' I posed more of a question, than a statement... at least I had thought I had. Though I have already been told that I will be pounded at school (by Kelly mostly I assume, as she is such a big fan of LOTR)! Now it was not my intention to annoy people but rather to hear some honest opinions, one of which I thank you for Bru... but... please understand that I was insulting no ones credibility as a film director/actor/artist or for that matter anyone’s opinion as a viewer... I was merely asking for opinions, this was posed as a serious question, maybe I didn't pose this quite correctly!!

please understand that I was insulting no ones credibility (i love taking things out of context)

...

Kelly’s inane giggles

I'm 90% positive she was laughing because she understood the humour, having read the book and having a feel for the characters. Yet you sit here calling it inane simply because you do not share the same love of the story. Hmmmm...
