Checklists, specifically. I have not/will not do that "25 things about you" meme on Facebook, but if I did that would be #1 (nevermind the questionable nature of putting a fact about lists at the top of a list). Anyway, I tell you all of this so that I can complain about how depressing it is to work all day, and all weekend, and have a nice checklist set out for myself, and I only get one check on it. Everything else is partially complete...but partially complete only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. (Kind of)
Anyway, yes, I worked on Greek a LOT today. All afternoon, in addition to all of yesterday. 1 Clement, it's a first century Christian piece. We read part where the author compares Christ, and consequently our resurrection, to a phoenix. Which is...obvious, now that I think about it, I'm surprised that I never even drew that parallel before. Anyway, it was lots of fun, I look forward to going over it tomorrow
And Mass today was excellent. Got picked up as usual, and I saw Candy there! It really has been too long, we need to keep in touch better. She's doing as well as expected, I know that things are hard on her - both she and her husband have a slew of health problems - but it was a relief to me that she's doing well enough to get to Mass. And I enjoyed the homily and everything else. Mass really just sets the mood for the rest of my day; I should take that into consideration when considering daily Mass.
The Beauty Myth is going well; Naomi Wolf is still making an interesting blend of inane statements and over-generalizations alongside really good comments about sexism in our culture. And I'm reading John for class - the very beginning is still amazing to me every time - and I'll be reading Joshua this week for my own edification. Finally out of Deuteronomy, which got pretty gnarly, man :-p So, yes. Books forever and ever and ever
