For Lit Club, that is :-p I need to bring in some quotes for tomorrow. I can't do this, I'm too nice and too much of a prude :-((( (Exception: the SU Religion page has become positively caustic. Like, melt-your-eyes-out caustic :-p)
We're reading Possession in British Novel. Which I read over Thanksgiving break, and I'm kind of managing just flipping through it before class to remind myself. But that is really no way to be a good student :-p It's also interesting, Dr Bowers calls it post-modern and everything because it's intertextual (the author writes the letters and poetry and prose of her characters and it comprises a lot of the book) but it feels like a very traditional novel. I don't know. I am enjoying it more the second time around, anyway
And Hebrew today was delightful~ Not prepositions with pronouns, those are not particularly fun :-p But we had a nice talk about the Masorenes and how the Bible got written down and possible textual errors and it was all really very interesting. And then later that afternoon was Greek. Love Greek :-p We translated the letter of a boy (a soldier, I believe) to his father, a certificate authorizing pagan sacrifices, a love charm, and a charm to catch a thief. Awful hard text, made more so since normally we have other translations to fall back on, but for these we just had nothing. Anyway, next we'll be doing a couple of Psalms, which will be better
Now...ugh. I've been terribly lethargic all afternoon and evening, I was supposed to be asleep by now. That comes next, I suppose. I did manage to get in a workout this evening that made me feel better slightly (I felt guilty about coffee cake at dinner, otherwise I may have skipped it :-p) but stilllll. In fact, I still have to finish my reading for History of the Book tomorrow. The Name of the Rose has slowed to a standstill in favor of school reading, very sad. At least I am crazy productive
