Oh Homer, you and me both
That? Was totally me this morning. Except instead of cornflakes it was snowflakes. I was invited by Lauren to make snowflakes, which we tape to the windows of our back door and it's all very pretty and festive. And I didn't used to be functionally retarded at art, I'm pretty sure, but did I make a whole lot of anti-snowflakes this morning :-p I ended up with two pretty good ones - one was a flower and the other looked like a virus :-) - and a neat spindly diamond thingy that fails at being a snowflake, but I thought it was neat so I taped it up anyway. Although when I unfolded it at first, I laughed so hard I cried, it was so so obviously a failure of a snowflake. I'll take a picture of it sometime if I am moved
Then this afternoon Lauren and I wen out shopping for Christmas presents. I am very pleased with my choices, that's all I'll say :-p I need to go back out again later, hopefully tomorrow? Because I couldn't buy Lauren stuff really since she was with me. But we had a delightful time
And TKD was good tonight, a bit higher-energy than Friday's class was. Sad, though? I think Master Tunac has...migrated off, or something. Everyone I ask about him goes "Errr, well.... I haven't seen him in awhile...." and I emailed him tonight after class and my email bounced. Feck. Hopefully he's doing well and hopefully I will get to see him sometime
Anyway, I went to go get gas tonight after class and it was so so awesome, there was a man hanging out there and I walked in in my TKD uniform, of course, which always attracts some attention. And he struck up a conversation about TKD and everything, we talked for a really long time. Best thing I learned, if someone chokes me, hopefully it's a big hairy yucky man, then I grab their armpit hair and yank :-p But he was super-sweet, pumped my gas for me and told me I was beautiful. It completely made my night, you guys, I'm still delighted. So that rounded off a really good day
