True facts: tangerines=mandarin oranges. Holy crap :-p

I just found that out now, when I was Googling tangerines. But my goodness, I thought that mandarin oranges grew...in a can, in sections, since that's the only way I've ever thought about them. For putting on salads and stuff, you know? Well, that rocked my world tonight

Anyway, I was Googling tangerines and beta carotene since I have fallen in love with tangerines recently. It's always a nice change of pace when our caf has more fruit than just the usual lifeless apples/oranges/bananas. Even pears are exciting, and pears aren't even my fav by a long shot :-p But we've had tangerines for the past week, and I have stolen so much fruit. Just had two nice tangerines for a snack tonight. Will probably never ever get sick, with the amount of Vitamin C I'm getting :-p But they do in fact contain beta carotene, so if I turn orange, and along with all the carrots I eat, I just might, so you all will know why

Aaanyway, this morning was very exciting. I weighed myself and am two pounds lighter than I was yesterday? Which is very strange, I haven't possibly expended 7000 calories since yesterday, but I'm taking it for what it's worth because it made me happy. And that's exciting because it marks 50 pounds down from the beginning of the year. I lost the first 20 pounds last spring semester without realizing it, so I couldn't point to a date or anything, but that's a lot of weight. And it hasn't felt grueling and I haven't gone hungry and everything I'm doing I know is sustainable, so...it's a really good feeling.

And I'm at a point now where I should start contemplating when I'll...finish. Not finish "dieting," because I'm not, just up my calories and probably focus more on strength and toning after that. Maybe in another ten or fifteen pounds? I know that as I get closer to that I really have to have a goal weight, because otherwise it's too easy to just keep losing and finding more things to find fault with and so on. So I'll be giving that some thought. Or just gain back enough at Christmas break that it won't be an issue again for awhile :-p
