Political inactivist, more like. I can't decide whether I'm actually boycotting the Olympics, or just really disinterested in most of it. China pisses me off for a number of reasons, but really, even the
Dalai Lama said that they deserve it, for whatever reason. The tae kwon do doesn't happen until..the 20th, I believe? Which is very sad, since I'll be back in Pennsylvania by then and won't have anyone to discuss it with
Only four more classes left of TKD this summer, it makes me sad just to think about it. We had a mellow class tonight, as we usually do on Fridays (since nobody comes on Fridays). We worked on self-defense techniques for part of it, those are good because you learn new and interesting ways to break people's wrists :-) Anyway, Master Tunac was demonstrating on me and was twisting me everywhere to show how much damage one could do easily, and it kind of hurt and I kind of whimpered :-p Then we worked on patterns, and choong mu, while it's very interesting, is also very complex and has a lot of movements which I would consider useless, or at least, not practical
I spent most of my day watching movies and hemming my new pants. It took two entire movies to finish those things, which means, yeah, four hours for me to sew up a pair of pants. Whenever I watch Project Runway I have lofty ambitions to learn to sew well and make my own cute custom clothing, but...let's hold off on that for now. Anyway, the two movies I watched were Secret Window and Boondock Saints. I am happy and not homocidal, I promise, but I began to wonder just how many murders I had witnessed today. Aaaand...
someone has a website dedicated to counting onscreen deaths. Of course they do. 33 people + 1 cat for Boondock Saints, that says, and I believe 4 people + 1 dog for Secret Window. 39 deaths in a day, pretty impressive, yeah? And to think that I considered putting on a nice Pixar film this morning
Hildebrand is coming along well, I should finish Transformation in Christ in the next 3-4 days. And Jesus of Nazareth is good too, although sadly we finished up the part on the Our Father, and now we're talking about the disciples and I'm not sure that they're just as fascinating :-p Hopefully they are. Although I'm expecting my boy Judas to get slammed. As he always does
