Fitness junkie

More and different abuse at TKD tonight, good stuff. And I take back the whole "Tory knows my name" thing from Monday; he's calling me Liz now. It's happened before, but he gets no credit for it. But yeah, he told us at the beginning of class that he wasn't going to make us sweat a lot today - and he didn't, I don't think, but everything was exhausting and hard. So...hard workout, but mellow? I don't know. The best part though, was in the last five minutes of class. He had us sit down.

lol, jk, that's not the best part, but he did, and he talked about things and then he gave us five minutes of cool-down/meditation. And I was sitting there with my eyes closed and breathing slowly, and I just felt so so...safe there, was my gut instinct. Completely accepted and in the company of friends and people who really, for whatever reason, want what's best for me. That's a really awesome feeling, so I left in a good mood.

Then I came home and took Dakota on a long leisurely walk - long enough that when I got out of my 20 minute shower after bringing her home, she was still exhausted and panting happily in the backyard. And I better be careful, if I don't watch out I'm going to turn into a complete fitness junkie. It makes up a pretty significant amount of what I'm doing this summer already. Don't worry though, at least my thighs are still enormous :-p

And Lauren brought back a Book of Mormon from her trip; the guy she sat next to on the plane home gave it to her, and in turn she gave it to me. It's very alien to me, and I'm incredulous toward...all of it. The "Jesus in America" part is the most ridiculous; check this shit out:

Jesus, looking even more Aryan than he usually does. And the poor ignorant indigenous people. I'm trying not to be frustrated that
so many people have...listened to all of this. Buuut I know that plenty of people are also itching to say the same about Catholicism, and maybe I should approach the Book of Mormon with a more open mind than I obviously have. All the Mormons I've known are really ridiculously nice, at least. Maybe they teach that in their book

religion, picture, dogs, tkd
