I should probably USE this thing, huh? I suspect I'll be moving to a new journal within a year or so, but while I have this one I should do something with it.
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Naoko! I hope you have a great day, and get to do or have something awesome. Yay, cake.
I've been doing nothing but stagnating since the weather got hot. We don't have air-conditioning in the car, so I can't really get to any appointments, and I can't stand to be outside for long either. I'm looking forward to Fall and a nice haircut.
In terms of gaming, I haven't gotten much done. I've been playing Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon on DS lately. I was playing Mass Effect 2, but the text is so damn small I can't read it, so I gave it up for Assassin's Creed II. They've made many improvements over the first one, so it's a lot less frustrating. Treasure hunting is kind of dull though.
Future games, I'm planning to get Shadows of the Damned when the price drops, despite all the lame penis jokes. I watched the trailer, and it seems like there might be enough disturbing material to serve the masochist in me. If not, well... I'm not planning to pay more than $25 for it if I don't have to, so it won't be a huge loss. I'm still iffy about BioShock Infinite, but The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the GOTY edition of Fallout: New Vegas might be release date buys for me.
Anxiously awaiting the BioShock novel, even though it will probably be a while before I get it. In the meantime, I will occupy myself with Lovecraft and Kipling. (I'll need Kipling to balance out the disturbing that is Lovecraft.) I recently got Re-Animator on DVD, and I'm sad to say I was disappointed. I went into it expecting a horror movie, but it was more of a morbid comedy. The original story disturbed me, but when is a movie ever as good as a book? Go into it expecting an amusing take on the story and I imagine it's a more satisfying experience. It has brought back my interest in Herbert West. Tempted to make a journal and attempt RPing him. Someone stop me.
On the RP front, I'm not in any games right now, and I'm not seriously looking at any. I'm perfectly content just doing musebox stuff for now. Occasionally I post at dear_mun. Even if I pick up new characters, I'll probably still stick with museboxes. Currently my only active character is Vulpes Inculta from Fallout: New Vegas. I could probably be coaxed into RPing some old favorites, but I'm not actively seeking out anyone to play them with. Okay, so technically I have a courier that's kind of active, but Vulpes is definitely my main character at the moment. If West joins in I'm not sure what I'll do with him.
Also, Tumblr? I've kind of quit going there, because I can't keep up with it. ._.;
