So I've put in 59 hours at work in the last six work days. All of those started at 0830/0820 and yesterday we went until 1920. Holla for showing up the other field researchers. At this rate I'll have cleared my federal work-study allottment before October. I don't know what happens after that, but I think I'll ignore it until the first paycheck.
Sad news on the homefront, my parents had to put Terri down on Wednesday. She hadn't been 100% for a while now, and she had a terrible night on Tuesday. So while it was hard, she was a very sweet dog and she earned the rest. A side benefit of how crazy my schedule has been is that I could only be upset about it for like 10 minutes before I had to get back to reading and work. It's weird that this is the first time in 21 years we haven't had a dog in the house.
Hopeful news on the homefront, we might have a buyer for the house. So keep your fingers crossed, campers.
Other than that, not much news-worthy. I like my co-workers, and next week we're going into the schools to consent the kids. Color me nervous. The script is long so I need to work on memorizing at least key points, and the packet distribution is kinda confusing, and I don't really know exactly what's going on. So hopefully I don't completely fuck things up. Also I have to go to Staten Island on Monday. Poopfaces. Buuuuut, it's a change from the secretarial duties I've been performing all week. I seriously have like 18 paper cuts on just my right hand, most of them right around the cuticle on my index finger. It's awesome. I resorted to scotch tape yesterday around 1400 just to hump through the last 5 hours of envelope-stuffing and paper-folding. Need to invest in neosporin.
