by this time next year, I won't be here

...or maybe I will be.  I just thought it was a fitting lyrics-title moment.

Week 1 of Learning About Old People Class down, two to go.  I am so pissed about the textbook I paid $48 for used (which has yet to ship...get a move on, dude from East Carolina University who sold his book used through Amazon!)...Ali brought it in today and it seriously looks like a shitty high school textbook.  Basically the book goes something like, "People get old!  What's up with that?  Here's a statement by an old person!  Look, a picture of a turtle!  Why did we put a turtle in here?  I don't know!"  Cue angry fist-shaking.  And get the fark off my lawn.

This Sunday is Manhattanhenge.  I hope the weather stays clear so that I can get some awesome sunset pictures.  I don't think I can be awake at 0500 twice in one week or I'd get up for the sunrise.  But we'll see; I'll be up at McFadden's on Saturday night for the Tommy Zbikowski Fightwatch (Go Irish!  Beat...some dude!  With your fists!!), so maybe I'll just stay up and wander midtown until it's time.  This is all provided I have money tomorrow...which actually is looking unlikely.  But I do have my monthly metrocard, and water is free.  Yeeeess.

This morning's agenda is to frantically finish this term paper, get to campus, drop it off (honestly, who the frig wants hard copies of papers anymore, particularly since we don't have physical class anymore??), get back here and crash for a while.  I also desperately need to do laundry...and one of the washers has been broken for like a week and a half, so it's really difficult with only two operational machines for the entire building.  Intolerable.
