I'm utterly lost. I thought it would be a simple matter of deciding what vegetation I want to grow, and planting said vegetation when the ground thaws. No. It's not that easy. I want to grow stuff we eat: sweet corn, tomatoes, onions, garlic, my basic produce-section purchases.
Sweet corn: 18 different varieties per seed catalog, each with a different growing time and water/temperature needs.
Tomatoes: heirlooms, seedless, hybrids, what do I do?
Onions: easy.
Garlic: not this year.
I have no clue what I'm doing, and this frustrates me. I have no idea what will grow here, no idea how much sun which parts of the yard get, and no clue what will survive in our super-acidic pine forest.
