Day off yesterday. Had the most calm, and boring day off in the world. But it didn't half feel good! I tidied my room, watched Six Feet Under, sent some text messages, made lunch and that was about it.
In the evening, me and Christian watched Torchwood. It's so poor--and so disappointing. It actually angers me. Oh well.
Today's show was lovely. It was at a lovely small village school in Suffolk. The kids were really extremely rowdy, but just on the right side of it and it went along at a cracking pace. Really enjoyed it.
What I didn't enjoy so much was the car journey though. Kay is starting to really get on everyone's nerves. I'm the one who seems to tolerate her the most but i'm getting to breaking point. She is a complete control freak. Suzie will go out her way to work out how long the journey will take on the Internet etc and text us all to tell us the time of departure-- Kay will then undermine her and then send out seperate text messages.
When we're setting up, she'll go round and readjust things that are already set-- meaning the whole thing needs readjusting. Today, she made a comment about how i coil cables and that the wires aren't rope and that they break easily (?!!) Sure, indeed they do-- but i'm well aware of it and have never seen her coil a cable in her life. She decideds when we have tea break, how long we can have to hang our costumes up and even whether the doors in the van are locked or not. We're only really into week 2 of the tour, and one of the others is going to snap *very* soon......
She's actually a really nice lady though, and her ridicolousims above would just make me laugh if it wasn't causing such an unhappy tense atmosphere backstage at venues...hopefully, if one of the others does explode then maybe that will be all it needs to continue. I don't really mind what happens, as long as i can stay peacefully out of it.
Tomorrow, i've got most of the day off and in the evening we've got to go to Essex to a club for special needs children, so hopefully should be a nice rewarding experience.
