So on my lunch break on Saturday I took a look at a house that is up for sale opposite the store. They had an open house last weekend but I didn't go look.. this time I went in and asked if they minded me having a nosy around since it was obvious I wasn't looking to buy (I was still in my uniform).
So here is the place:
Place in Brighton It was a nice place. 3 bedroom. Formal lounge. Courtyard. Some nice (expensive) gadgets. Half of the second level is taken up with the main bedroom and ensuite. Overall it is liveable.. some things I would change.. but still nice. Close to shops and public transport (bus stop outside front door, train station 5 min walk away). A short stroll to the beach.. near school etc. 20 mins to the city (if that).. Then I asked how much they wanted.. I was told just under 1.4mil!!!!! That floored me. I sort of expected it because it was Brighton, but as I said to others, if it was in any other "normal" suburb.. it would probably go for 400k-500k max. I couldn't see it go for much more. It's not like it is on a big block of land or anything, and the neighbours' houses are close..
Be interesting to see how long it takes to sell..
