. . . Brave . .?
So, I've been working on this since the last post--(not that anyone is going to actually see this, oh well!) cutting, adding, and etc, just to make the characters more . . . more like themselves. Why is it that I get compliments from my proof readers on doing side-characters well, but the main ones are a little off? Arg.
Anyway, here is some fluff. I got the idea from the prompt table--#23. Hope you enjoy!
Title: Confession

Summary: Zach came in with the thought of confessing . . . and ended up doing just that.

It was past hours. Zachary Urie Addy took a deep breath. “Dr. Brennan.”
She looked up to see her assistant standing in the doorway to the bone room. He had his hands in the pockets of his blue lab coat, and he looked extraordinarily nervous. Though, perhaps ‘extraordinarily’ was not the right word, as the expression was frequently on his face nowadays.
“What is it, Zach?”
He took another deep breath. “I wanted to discuss something with you.”
She tilted her head to the side, studying him. He was blushing slightly. “Go on,” She prompted.
“What does love feel like?” He asked.
She paused. “Why are you asking me? Shouldn’t you be asking Angela?”
“Angela will tell the world.”
Temperance Brennan nodded. “Well, though I would not usually do such a thing, there is no reason I should refuse.” she said. “But as long as you can multi-task, it would help the case to study the bones as we talk.”
Zach shook his head. “Hodgins need me. I came here to confess to her.”
Brennan looked up sharply. Her young assistant now had a full blush.
“Me?” She asked, more than a little surprised. The blush on his face spread.
“I just thought you might like to know.” He looked away from her, still red, then turned around. “I’ll go help Hodgins now.”
He left, leaving her stunned. Then, slowly, a small smile spread across her features. Zach loved her. She put down the bone she had been holding and ran after him.
