Okay, the last entry about the baby was pretty short, and probably left some of you with a lot of questions. Here I am with some more info.
Rosa is Argentine, born and raised in Buenos Aires. She's 23, turns 24 February 18. She has a long history of social activism, was involved in the MTD movement before coming to live in Tucuy Paj, where we met. She's an anarchist. She listens to punk rock and plays the drums. She has a red mohawk (picture to come soon). She doesn't speak English.
We're plannig on living in Argentina for the forseeable future. We both have the goal of living in a rural area, doing organic farming, building a self-sufficient community. We'll probably have to stay in the city until the baby is at least a year old or so to have easy access to medical care. There's talk about joining a community of anarchist farmers in Patagonia. Some of them are going to visit Tucuy Paj soon, so we'll be able to talk about that.
We're on top of everything as far as health goes, already went to the doctor once, have the next visit scheduled. When I asked about prenatal care, it was to get ideas about alternative theories, yoga for expecting mothers, natural remedies for morning sickness, that kind of thing. Obviously we have the basics taken care of as far as a healthy diet, no smoking, no drinking.
I sat down and talked to my partners in Rosario, and there's going to be no problem taking big chunks of time to go to Buenos Aires. I'm busting my butt getting some things done ahead of schedule here, and the 12th I hit the road.
What else can I say? I'm pleased as punch. Come visit!
