Fourth of July, Loneliness, Speeding ticket
Back from my little Fourth of July trip. Palm Island was glorious! We were on the most spectacularly beautiful beach I have ever seen! White sand, clear water; I found sand dollars right on the surface of the sand! All-in-all I ate too much, drank too much, and relaxed too much... just like a vacation should be!
Now I am back in Orlando. I got back last night and realized that while Ben is in Germany it is going to be VERY, VERY lonely, like loneliness to the extreme! Anyone reading this... call me immediately to hang out. I don't care who you are just call/IM/E-mail me with something fun to do. Got it? Good.
I almost got a Speeding ticket the other day... on campus. Thank goodness my boyish charm got me out of it... or was it because I couldn't find a current insurance card and the officer got tired of waiting and let me go, take your pick. So to anyone who hates UCF cops: Stop bitching and follow the rules! I learned my lesson for sure.
Brittany is afraid of crazy looking people... I think I might try to scare her one day.
Some very odd things have been happening lately. Like people that I never talk to, or haven't talked to in a long time are starting to get in touch with me. 95% of it is because of Facebook. It's nice, if not slightly odd, to have some new friends.
I'm reading the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. Very interesting. To me reading it is like an informal psych study; testing the effectiveness of self-help books. Perhaps I will learn something... perhaps.
I was doing research on Scientology the other day and it is very strange. VERY strange. Check it out for yourself.
