Ready.. Set.. GO!
Well the first week of school has finally ended...THANK GOD.
I can't remember a time when I felt so mentally exhausted. Today, for example, I applied to two different Grad programs at UCF. It is extremely difficult to find 5 letters of recommendation, update a resume, write a statement of goals, fill out two applications, and attend class, ALL while trying to get in touch with SOMEONE from Graduate Studies. But I got it done, and although it was rushed, I'm glad I got it all done before the priority deadline. I feel pretty good about that. Thank goodness I have some pretty good friends scattered throughout different administrative offices around the University. I would have never gotten it done without their patience (Stacey, Mark, Chris, I owe them...big)
I am also very happy to report that I really enjoy the LEAD class I am TAing. The kids seem really great, and I think they will really get a lot out of the class. It's a lot of work, but I know that they will come away with so much if they stick to it.
Thank heavens it's a long weekend. Relaxation here I come.
