Hey you guys. This weekend has been pretty good. Friday at school was so much fun. The FBLA convention was that day so there wasn't many people at school. In Mrs.Sykes' room we graded papers for her and thats about it. In Brent Deel's room we took a bunch of notes. Desktop Publishing was so much fun. I love that class. Me and Savannah sung. It was fun. We sung Baby Got Back. It was pretty funny I have to admit. We are the next American Idols!!!! In Brad Counts' room we took a test and then we talked. It was fun. Me and Teri didn't place in the FBLA competition. It's ok though. I knew we couldn't have done that well. Yesterday was fun. Me, Tarah, Dove, Cody, and Carrie rode the bus over. It was fun just talking. We got over there and I was a little nervous. My first round I gave a speech on Renee Zellweger. I talked about how she and other actresses are influences on younger girls. Both judges ranked my 2nd. My second round I spoke on a quote. It was about how leaders helped others to succeed. I talked about what qualities a leader should possess to be able to lead another person or group. This was by far my best speech of the day. I felt like I did a great job. One judge ranked me 2nd and my other ranked my 1st above Cagle Juhan. I was so excited. So, I go into my final round and I was so confident. I tried my hardest and in the end the judges screwed my score up. I know I did better than some of the other people that spoke. Two judges gave me last place and one gave me 6th. I was so mad when I got my sheets. I judge gives me an 83 but writes "good job" on my paper. Someone made it a point to wave and tell me bye from across the auditorium before I left yesterday. Oh well though. Congratulations to LeRae, Tabitha, and Cody for placing. I'll take this year as a learning experience. I tried my best to do as good as I did and I really believe even though I lost yesterday, it will pay off later. Next year, I will beat R.J. Beavers and Cagle Juhan. I am determined. My first year on the forensics team was a blast and I will miss it until next year. Fun times. Today me and dad went to the hospital to see Mommaw Viers. She is just so weak. I don't believe she will be here much longer. Pray for her please. Bible Club in the morning. I can't wait. I am so excited!!!! Bye everyone!!!!
