Auf Wiedersehen
For the two or so of you that might miss me, I'll be spending the rest of March in various small towns across Germany with Britt. There's evidently some family of hers that I haven't embarrassed met yet. I'm really excited about this. It all came together very suddenly at the last minute, and I've never been to any part of Europe. I'm in the process of filling my iPod with a bunch of old ska, new Raveonettes and German language lessons.
Britt has been remarkably sick for the past week, and I hope a) she's better by the time we fly out, and b) I don't get it. Ten hours on a plane is bad enough, but when you pile on illness, plus travel to a country whose language I'm not at all fluent in, plus an unfamiliar healthcare system, plus hanging out with your wife's sister and cousins while you lie in bed with a fever...it could turn into a serious nightmare. Feel fine so far; we'll see how long that lasts.

I'm off to find one of those foreign voltage adapter plugs and a comfortable pair of earbuds.
