Diru fanbase sucks. People has the wrong impression on Japanese rock.

I came across this very long thread about J-rock metal bands and incidentally (why am I not surprised?) the thread starter likes Dir en Grey. Well, good for her but anyway, she sounded... well like those normal fangirls who fawn over their favourite band/bandmember. Damnit, it sounded so...

A lot of people were professing of how they like Diru but sadly, most does not know the band at all and like them because of how they look and some just merely proclaiming they like the band from that single mp3 that they had listened to. Like, hey I've listened to Cage and Dir en Grey is my favourite band of the lifetime!. Sure everyone has the right to love a song (and the band itself) but why should you do claims that you know nothing about? Its so baseless. Or worse jumping on the boat because everybody seems so into it. Or like the band because of their appearance(looks). Even Kirito of Pierrot does not like that, why should Diru be? I think they would like it more if the fans like them because of their music. Not the fan service, not the dresses, not the looks.

ye said EVERYTHING. most people around here just like them due their appearence, fan service like ye said. it's a sad thought u_u

The only thing that I cannot stomach is that those fans that are... ugh! nevermind them.

Especially those people who bashes emo. You're no better. There's a thing called respect and politeness. Not all people who likes emo are depressed and all. Its just a wrong concept of the genre because you hated it. I have emo friends and they influence me on what they listen to and in turn I influence them with Punk and Hardcore Punk and some bit of Goth Rock (that they could stomach) and we're all fine and well.

my best friend is emo/punk. but me otherwise, don't push him to listen to goth rock, he doens't like it too much. as i said, we're best friends, and we're are also fine. damn annoying people

Some people considers Diru a metal band, but I dont really agree on the idea. If you're a real Dir en Grey fan and knows their albums or have several MP3s on your hard disk, you'll know.

sadly, i haven't downloaded all of their songs... ;_; limewire is just too sulky and give me porno videos instead of their songs dammit! @_@

If you've heard their other albums liek Macabre (which is my favourite), you'll hear a lot of symphonic music and 10 minute instrumentals.

You have some nice way of saying to us that you're superior because of your perfect English. Unless you're a very good linguist I guess you can have the right to be bothered by someone's bad diction but going as far as insulting it is too much. Like you're any better. You dont even know a bit of Japanese and Japanese is one of the top 5 most intricate language in the whole world. I hate those people insulting and making fun of Kyo's english. So what if they suck? Are you good at Japanese? You dont even know how to properly write your name in Katakana and you act all so high and mighty because you know your native language. Just shut up.

I love Diru but the fanbase sucks (and is disappointing) most of the time.

Well, my friends like the hardcore stufs I bring to them, and they know that I prefer screamo more than emo but its ok, I enjoy listening to... some emo songs. Not all of them are super depressing. I like the lighter ones.

Hmmn, I think I should be angry most of the time so that my sarcasm would peek at you and say hi from time to time. *cackle*
