I know what you mean. Totally. I've been thinking a lot about how I want to live my life out of school because Ryan has been planning the next five years out on front of me since we hit the six month mark, and quite honestly it scares the shit out of me. The more he talks about it the more I feel like prison doors are closing behind me. He's planned out time so well that I feel like there's no time for me to do what I want. France in a couple of semesters is going to be my first real taste of freedom and a life that I'm curious about pursuing.

I also feel like a lot of the reasons why people react badly to those around them saying things like "I don't want kids" or "I don't know if I want to get married yet" is because so many people never get the opportunities to even fulfill these dreams for themselves so when they see people turning down opportunities that they want for themselves they find those people to be ungrateful, but they really have no right to say that. It's not their body or their freedom on the line, so they can't know what you feel or what motivates you, whether or not you explain your reasoning.

I guess all I can say is that I'm glad that you know what you want and that you have all the right to be sick of people judging you because you make a choice that they don't agree with. Only do what is right for you!

Thank you. It helps to know that at least some girls are on my side because usually it is girls who look at me funny when I say I don't want kids :)
