Come visit me in Texas, I'll take you to Louisiana or Oklahoma. They're close. Hell, maybe even LA and OK, and Arkansas between. That can't be more than a day's drive. It's closer than the far end of Texas, at least. Of course, South Carolina is closer than the far end of Texas, but you've already been there.

Between the tree of us (there's a happy thought) we have, except for Kansas, Nebraska, and New Mexico, the former two of which I should visit some afternoon because they're right there, relatively speaking.

One of my classmates is from Kansas. He admits that corn is pretty much all they've got.
