Dave's visiting... don't get up. I know my way around.
Hey gang, if there are any members of the old gang left kicking about the place. I know most of us have migrated to facebook a decade ago and are now considering moving on from there. But there is still a big part of my heart that lives on LJ. This little slice of the internet got me through a helluva lot. What's new in the world of Dave? Well, my wife just celebrated her 1 year re-birthday. On Aug 3 last summer, my wife got a stem cell transplant to try and drive cancer from her system. As of her last scan a couple of months ago, so far so good. We've got 4 more years before they use the word cured, but we have completed the first lap. My daughter turned 6 on August 3rd. So, it's a big day for us! My son is now 9 and going into 4th grade. Boy, what a weird thought. Looking back at some old LJ posts it's amazing to see how much my life has changed.
Writing is okay. I'm working on finishing up the 3rd Rogue Blades knovel. The ren faire starts up in a couple of weeks. I'm pretty excited about it this year. We have been doing this crazy stuff for 17 years!!!! How wonderful!
Also, since my wife got sick I packed on like 70 pounds. I'm on a mission to lose all of that weight and be a happier healthier Dave moving into my 50th year come September. You can keep tabs on me and my journey or even join me in the fun if you need a fitness pal. I'd love to hear from you.
