Good Thursday evening, LJ. I hope that everyone is having a wonderful winter. I'm finding it to be a mixed bag of treats, but in the end, it's going really wonderfully. I've got a lovely lady in my life. I've got friends and family. I've got my health. And I've got a fun thing to occupy some of my time. I will tell you about everything forthwith. Let's rock and roll!

On the lady in my life front: I'm seeing and quite serious about a lovely lady named Kelly. She rocks 20 different kinds of hard core. I count myself really lucky to have her in my life. I met her at a faire in June and over the course of several months we've slowly gotten to know each other and it's kind of like a magic trick. All of the sudden something amazing happens and you are like "HEY how did you do that?" Well, she is like that for me. I've had some really harsh times, but when she's around the world seems to make a little bit of sense and I am so grateful for her. She's my Valentine and everything is a little better when she's around. Here's the rub. When we met, she was acting Shakespeare and I was being a Rogue Blade who couldn't swordfight due to a bum shoulder that was still recovering from surgery. So, I wasn't exactly at my best, but I think in the end I won her over because of my charm, intelligence, and the fact that I wore all black. She's a sucker for a Sith lord. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!

On the shoulder front: My shoulder is markedly better. I still get the occasional ouch, but in the main it's doing just great. Swordfighting for this summer is going to be sooooooooo sweet!

On the "something fun to occupy some of my time" front: Ladies and gentlemen who are in the Toledo area, I want to let you know that you will have a rare opportunity coming up at the end of March and early April. I have been cast in Black Swamp Players (out of Bowling Green) production of "The Odd Couple". We currently have rehearsals 3-4 nights a week. In fact, as I'm typing this I'm waiting for rehearsal tonight. It is going to be a blast. I have been cast as one of the poker buddies. My name is Speed. I will let everyone know before it goes down. So, if you want to see DLJ's Dave on stage in a non-swordfighting role, this will be your chance. The first of many I hope. And if all goes well, I might actually have a chance to perform some Shakespeare in December. My lady's group is doing "Twelfth Night" and I might get to audition. I'll keep you posted.

Other than that, I'm not really sure what else to tell ya. Between squeezing in as much time with my lady as possible, work, and the play, I'm doing ok. The winter has been a rough one for me health wise. I've had strep, mono, got into a car accident where my airbags deployed and basically punched me in the face, but I'm bouncing back from all of those things very quickly.

Let's get on to some really important stuff:

Lying beside you, here in the dark,
Feeling your heart beat with mine
Softly you whisper, you're so sincere,
How could our love be so blind
We sailed on together, we drifted apart,
And here you are by my side

Best of luck my family and friends. Have the greatest day of your life. I know I will.

Dave
