Kats n Kittens...
Banner searching for a new kitty started me off too. I haven't had my own cat since summer 2003 before we left England. Sooo... I was actually after a small kitten, but the breeding season was May so kittens now are all about 5-7 months old. Well, I suppose getting a teenage one solves some problems, like remembering to watch the floor in case you step on a slumbering kitty, or shut the door on one following you, or any number of the accidents that can happen if you don't constantly watch the floor and where you put your feet etc.
So this one is 7 months old, a smoky gray color, and she curled up in my lap and refused to move at the home of the Rescue lady.. She's a girl, has a nice meow, :) and is the smallest of a litter of 4 born in that house from a rescued young mum. Oh, and has incredibly soft fur so the lady thinks likely has some Siamese in her. Pregnant mum, only 2 days from delivery, was dumped in a sealed box in the lady's car at a Rescue drive.. Bastards. :(
What else she is, I dunno, cos wiped down with an anti-allergy wipe to remove the lingering smell of living with some 12 other cats/teen kittens, and wearing a natty (and cheap) pink cat collar with a purple bell so I know where she is, roughly, she's hiding under my bed, refusing the pouch of wet pungent food chosen purposely to tempt her out... Willow is likewise refusing his Senior cat version of wet food - and that's serious.. lol. Domino snarfed up her Dentabone treat and is looking kinda bewildered about it all.... SO far, there has been no hissy spitty fits from Willow, but this kitten is a young female, and he's a 15 yr old neutered Tom with delusions of World Dominance around the home.
She will get neutered, by them, for an extra $40 come February, but she's had all her shots and is flea free, and I was told, those 4 kittens were the largest and healthiest that have ever passed through their Rescue center... So all that is good.
Now for a name.. Current favorites are Sekhmet, Ishtar, Misty, or Sable -- don't ask where Sable came from cos sable is pine marten brown not soft dreamy gray...
