I know I promised an entry by the end of last week, but really. It has been a LONG time since I've posted. Which should mean that I should do one big post about everything that has transpired since my last post. But that seems rather intimidating. I guess I should try anyway.
They moved the copy desk to Mansfield. We were told our positions were eliminated and we had the opportunity to apply for the positions in Mansfield. So, rightly so, I proceed to freak out b/c I don't mind moving at all, but I had no idea how many positions were open and how many people were applying for them. I didn't like my odds. NO ONE bothered to tell us that our positions in Mansfield were guaranteed, all we had to do was say we wanted them.
So I have moved to Mansfield. I'm doing the same work. The office has a much less negative vibe. My co-workers seem nice. I still have to deal with the crazy editor more than I would like.
The town is bigger, and therefore better. And my apartment is cheaper.
