It was a rather ordinary weekend except that I spent almost every minute with him. And it was delightful.
I was a bit upset on Fri night coz there was no news on what time he would pick me up. And at 7 plus I finally smsed him but without reply. And he turned up suddenly with the new car. So he wanted to surprise me. :) We drove around aimlessly for a while, not deciding on a dinner place. The initial plan was to buy fried chicken and pork knuckles, and watch dvd and drink beer. Eventually we did, fried chicken was absolutely delish altho there were no pork knuckles. Watched Just Follow Law and Kung Fu Hustle. I couldn't resist watching KFH again coz it's just hilarious. I was laughing till my stomach ached.
Unfortunately we had to wake up early on Sat morning due to his reservist and there was no breakfast. Sat afternoon he surprised me again by saying we should go out earlier and he will skip work that day. We went to see the Matisse exhibition which was disappointingly devoid of color. Dinner was at 6pm at Brussels'. Lovely beer with yummy mussels. And we caught the air display from nearby NDP. What a great ending to the evening. We were home by 8pm so I watched Crash while he read. Quiet but very enjoyable. I just love being able to discuss the movie with him as we watched. Fell asleep by midnight.
It was another early morning on Sunday coz I followed him to my first wakeboarding experience! It was great fun even tho I didn't manage to stand. At least I got to squatting position in the 20 minutes, before I fell flat on my face again. Drank lots of sea water. :( He's so good at it, doing turns and small jumps. Went to Kallang for his sis's varsity wakeboard finals, she's my role model. She's so good at it and her body is so toned. Yummilicious fishball noodles at Lavender market then went home to rest. He read his book while I read the sunday papers which is my fav thing to do on Sunday. Finally dinner was at one of our fav Italian restaurants with his parents, I just love the laidback European vibe.
so this was my good weekend. I'm just happy to spend time with him, even if it's not doing anything much. The issues which plagued me in the first half of June are hidden. I decided to stop thinking about it. I don't feel it anyway. I suppose we will just progress peacefully until he makes a decision. Sigh
