My Amazing Husband
Today is our anniversary. I am married to the most amazing man you can imagine. I am sure many people feel this way about their spouses, but my statement is absolutely true. He is the person who does what needs to be done, before you ask, sometimes before you even think about it. He is the person who never sees my imperfections. He could care less about weight, or make-up, or bad temperament. He doesn't complain. He loves his children like no person I have ever seen. He is smart and supportive, and he is there, every night. He is my best friend, and my favorite person to hang out with. If I decline a night out or a "girl's night," it's not that I don't want to hang out, it's generally that I rarely have as much fun out as I have curled up in bed with Adam, watching bad TV and stroking our toddler's hair. When our lives get crazy and turned upside down, whether by our making, others', or disease or tragedy, he is there. In our short time together we have been through near death tragedies, cancer, autism, job change, bankruptcy, multiple surgeries, childbirth, homeschooling, custody fights with exes, and any number of other things that might doom a typical marriage, but here we are, still just in love as we were three years ago. We have known each other for less than 4 years. We have been married today for 3, but I know that this is simply the beginning. Marrying Adam is the best decision that I ever made. And I think it always will be.
