The Date

Notes: 6,600 word 'ficlet' written for bubbleforest. Also, unbetaed and based around a very unoriginal plot device.

( Howie sighs and wonders how he always ends up getting dragged into these things when he tries so hard to stay out of them. )

Aww! That is just the sweetest thing ever. I really liked Howie gradually changing his mind over the story, Nick being all awkward and uncertain, and the last line referring back to up the beginning. Lovely :-)

This is so adorable and fumble-y and sweet. I can so see Nick having to take Howie out as a forfeit. And they just, they are so sweet.

Oh, this was FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for this! Oh my God, fake dating and bets, I love that to ridiculous degrees. The ending when Howie comes back out made my heart flip all over the place. These boooooooys. And YOU. ♥

OMG, this was just super adorable! Poor long-suffering Howie. :D

And even if the the plot devices weren't exactly new, you combined them in a new (to me) way, and the story felt fresh. :)
