Hi people, I am back safely and am now a certified open water diver! More on my trip later.. :)
But first, read and heard about news of an aircrash in Puket.
Flight OG 269, operated by Thai budget airline One-Two-Go, skidded on the runway and crashed into a nearby plantation breaking the plane's body into 2 parts. 66 confirmed deaths, 40 casualities and remaining missing, feared dead.
More than 70% on board were foreigns and I personally fear that a majority are Singaporeans..
Peace to these people and their families and I pray hard that I do not learn of any friends or relative that might be on board.
BBC and CNN has yet to release and contact info but I reckon that Singaporeans can reach the SG Embassy in Thailand (BKK) for assistance. (Tel: +286 2111, +286 1434) Urgent consular services available at +66 81 844 3580 after office hours.
Life is fragile and I so agree..
