Wicked

Well saw Wicked live yesterday. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen on stage in my entire life. The set was amazingly beautiful and the scene changes went so smoothly it was beautiful. My favorite touch was the theme of the "Dragon Clock" the entire time. Over the set was this huge mechanical dragon that had red eyes and breathed smoke. It was soooo cool. oh i forgot to mention that it flapped it's wings too. The songs were.... well sub par. Not that I can do better, but the phrases in the songs were cut short and it seemed like they were rushing the entire time. Flora said it could've been a director's choice (which is most likely true). What can I say, everything about the show was great... no not great I don't know any other word better than great, wonderful, astounding, FUCKING AWESOME!. haha. My favorite part in the entire play was when they were singing "Defying Gravity" That was THE most awesomerestationing(awesome-er-rest-a-tion-ing) (I swear I didn't try to copy Glinda). I love all the little "foreshadowing" to The wizard of Oz. I cried... 3 times. I know it's sad. First time, was when they sang "Defying Gravity" next was when I found out Nessarose died... well not found out but yeah. Finally was when they sang No good deed. OK like 4 times. The final time was when they sang "for Good" The line that ALWAYS gets me since the first time I've heard the song 'It well may be, that we may never meet again in this lifetime. so let me say before we part so much of me is made from what I learned from you. You'll be with me like a handprint on my heart. And now whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewriten mine for being my friend." Those are the most beautiful lyrics ever and saddest too.

Overall Wicked was just... well WICKED AWESOME! haha.
