Have you misesd me? ;)

It's been forever since I posted, I know.  Hopefully in this post I can fill you in on a few key things that have happened since whenever the last time I posted was.  Most likely I'll skip a lot because if I feel like I'm caught up then I feel better.

Some stuff today:

DO ANY OF YOU WATCH SUPERNATURAL??  Because the finale was intense.  Jared Padalecki is like the hottest man alive, even hotter than Gale (in my opinion, I know many of you would disagree).  *points to icon*

Snaps to the California Supreme Court for ruling that the ban on same sex marriage is unconstitutional!  I wish Michigan weren't so fucked up and would at least stop moving backwards.  The Supreme Court here ruled to uphold  the Court of Appeals decision denying health care benefits to unmarried couples.  That affects so many people, straight and gay.  It's so frustrating.  Here is a video that someone posted in the comments to this metaquote.  It's pretty humorous.

This is the first week I am home from school and already I want to get out of here.  I think it will be better once I start working and hopefully after my 3 week internship is done on June 20 I will be able to make plans to see friends.  I picked up a passport application today and I'm turning it in tomorrow.  I don't know how long those take to process but maybe it will come in time to go to Canada or something.

Finals were just awful.  I don't think I've ever been so stressed out in my life.  Thank God it will probably never be like that again.  I didn't even check my FL that week because anytime that I was home I needed to be sleeping, not staying up on the computer.  I'm so glad it's over.

One big thing I never posted because of everything that was going on the last few weeks of classes was this:

I AM GOING TO A CELINE DION CONCERT!!!!

Okay so here's the story:  Nathan happened to find out that Celine is coming to the Palace (of Auburn Hills) in September.  We decided that we would both be willing to pay upwards of $100 to see her.  So he joined the fan club to try to get exclusive seats and I called the Palace to see about getting handicapped seating.  Well, the handicap seats were sold out and so were the Team Celine exclusive seats.  We waited way too long,  the only seats available were the worst seats.  Nathan decided he didn't want to go anymore and I was very sad.   Considering how short I am I had already  reconciled the fact that I might not be able to see even if we got "good" seats, so having to sit in the back wasn't that big of a deal for me.  I'd still be able to hear her!  And buy stuff!   A few days later Nathan told me that he'd changed his mind again (yay!) and we bought tickets!  I figure I'm prolly going to spend just as much on Celine stuff at the concert as I did for the ticket.  The concert isn't until the end of September.   I can not believe I'm going to be in the same room as Celine DIon.  Too awesome.  I wish Madonna were coming to Michigan on her Hard Candy tour.  She'd be awesome to see too.  It kind of sucks, I mean she's FROM Michigan but the closest she is coming to here is Chicago (and a few stops in Canada).  Sad.

The Preakness is Saturday.  I'm not super excited about it.  It seems like a lot of the real contenders aren't running because they are afraid of Big Brown and I dunno, I never really got into the Big Brown camp.  Part of that may be because I wasn't able to follow racing as closely this year.  Eight Belles death really saddens me though.  I am more interested on the coverage that will be about her than anything.  It was already announced that he will be retired this year, which is probably good for him considering his bad feet, but it's not good for racing because he is going to breed and pass those bad feet on.  It'd be cool if he won the Triple Crown though, so obviously I'm rooting for him.  Oh and I just watched my Derby tape the other day.  I don't know what it is about Barbaro but he still strikes a chord in me, I started crying the first time they showed him on screen.  Did anyone else feel like the first hour of coverage was a huge waste of time?  I was pretty disappointed.  That whole red carpet show was stupid and I fast forwarded through most of it.  And to think that time could have been spent talking about the horses.  There were so many cool stories amongst those runners.  They barely even talked to Michael Matz.  Even Eight Belles didn't get much attention.  So dumb.

I thought I would be able to hook my computer up as soon as I got home but there's a bunch of stuff in the place it needs to go and so I don't know when that's going to happen.  I told mom that there is stuff I really need to get to on it (since I didn't know I would be without it I didn't make sure I had everything on my jumpdrive that I needed) so I think she's going to try and work on it soon.  I want to make icons and add some to my userpics.  Not to mention there are about 5 songs I want to buy on itunes.  One of them being "No Air" which I've had in my head for 3 days now.  *sigh*

I signed up for Netflix and got my first dvds today.  It's almost 2am so I thinK I'm going to go upstairs and pop one of them in to fall asleep to.  Good nightttt
