One year in Austin
One year ago I arrived in Austin for the first time on my own. I have been back in Austin for one year as of 11/5/11.
It has been an incredibly eventful year! I met so many good people this year who let me into their hearts and lives, for which I am entirely grateful. My new friends have helped me transition to life here, helped me make Austin my home more than it was for the 6 years I lived here previously.
I've been through 8 months of struggling to find a good job and the emotional toll that had on me. Not having a good job is what made me leave CA, made every month a struggle financially. I'm finally getting on my feet and it feels amazing.
I went through a lot of relationship turmoil as well as good and bad experiences back in the dating scene. My friends in both states helped me through this, and continue as it's really never ending :) Though now I'm in a more stable emotional state and am doing well.
I finally pulled myself together and settled things regarding the house, leading to my being able to refinance it and own it on my own. I had so much help from my friends to get me to this state of affairs, I will forever be grateful.
And the most important thing - I made amazing friends in Austin, to add to my amazing CA friends, without whom my life would be much less complete.
I'm in a good place physically, emotionally and spiritually - I'm happy :)
