Hmm lets see so far,

I left home and headed out to Lowes to get a few things.

On the way there Sharon noticed a yard sale so we decided to stop and check it out. To my luck I found a small 13-inch TV/VCR combo for 10 bucks. I asked the lady what was wrong with it and she informed me that the VCR didn’t work. No problem for me since I didn’t want it for the VCR but for the A/V inputs it had on the front. Once I got home I tried it all out and the TV part works fine. Also the A/V inputs work. Its perfect for my micro-office. Also a neat feature is that it will take either 110AC or 12 VDC. NICE.

After that we headed up to Lowes, and I picked up a few things. Sharon picked up some ceiling paint for our bedroom, and I got some staples, a few tomato, pepper, and rosemary plants, and a high current switch breaker for my well pump.

Well it turns out that the little dremel tool I picked up at harbor freight is indeed a piece of shit. My hand can even stop the damned thing if that is any testament to its shittiness.

While at Lowes I priced some of the other dremels they had to offer. The one that was nineteen dollars wasn’t much better and the one actually made by Dremel was like seventy dollar.

There was no way I was going to pay for that.

Anyway so I come home, eat a healthy lunch which is a rarity on a Saturday and set to task in the garage to find something to cut this damn steel mesh.

I then happened upon a rotary tool in there that is used to cut drywall and other horizontal cuttings. It’s sort of like a router but not as big and menacing.

Turns out that my little dremel cutting disk fit right onto it. After that, cutting it was a breeze. It cut through that steel like butter. Even BETTER then the dremel I was using.

Yay me!

Jupiter's moon Io reappears from eclipse out of the planet's shadow, barely off Jupiter's eastern limb, around 11:10 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Since Jupiter seems to be quite dominant in the sky this month I think I will try and get my other receiver set up to monitor Jupiter’s noise.

Jupiter however is a tricky planet I have come to realize. It is not ALWAYS easy to catch with my modest equipment. The planet likes to send it’s signals out in specific directions on certain times and if those times are not right and the Earth is not in the correct position then I will never hear it.

Here is a sample of Jupiter’s noise when I was fortunate enough to here is back in 2000
