Money money money money...
MON-AY!
Last week,I worked 49.5 hours. Meaning theres 9.5 hours of overtime at time and a half. This week,I have just under 40 scheduled,but will probably end up staying late a couple times,which will round it up to 40. Plus Monday was a bank holiday,which I worked,and apparently will be getting paid double time for. Jake did the math because hes kinda nerdy that way,and my next check will be up around 1000euro.
But wait,theres more.
Jake and I were talking today,and we realized that we did indeed pay a deposit on our apartment. So Jakes going to call the landlady tomorrow and see if we can use the deposit to pay Novembers rent,and will see if we can stay free the first week of December since hes leaving on the 7th and Ill be gone to Malta soon after,since my flight leaves the 14th.And if we cant stay free,we'll each pay 50 euro or something like that.This means that the rent money I have earmarked can be used for other things,like things from my trip to Scotland next month,or my entire trip to Malta.
So paycheck + rent maybe taken care of = Extra coin. Meaning I can pay Dermot back and still have money to spare,which is excellent as 1 euro is about equal to $1.60 CDN.
Finally,Ill leave you with this little gem:
Jake decided tonight to strip the paint off his bike.We have a spare room,so he decided to do it in there as to not stink up the apartment.After getting all his supplies and tools set up,he walks by me and says...
Jake: Well, off to the gas chamber.
Me: You dont have to go just because youre Jewish,you know.
Jake: But its tradition!
Mmmm,politically incorrect jokes.
Now Im off to bed,as I open the store tomorrow for the first time.
