I'm not sure why, but Supermoto stuff never really caught on with me. I know plenty of people who have have given up sport riding to go that direction though. Maybe I get enough of a dirt / hooliganism fix through mountain biking? I dunno.

Have you seen the Aprilia version of the Hypermotard? Cool stuff :)

I hadn't seen that bike yet. I like it though. Aprilla's got a very mean look to the bike, almost evil.

It's just recently that I was seriously thinking about a supermoto. We've had a few come in through salvage and I was really tempted to buy one. I've got some time to think though since it takes a few weeks to set all that stuff up.

KTM also has a 690 supermoto - The Duke.

Don't know if I like it or no, but recently KTM has been coming up with some really awesome bikes. Style-wise, I've been really impressed since they seem to be more different than the standard 4 and still have several thumper single cylinder bikes.

The Superduke is one of those that just looks awesome, and mean at the same time.

An old riding buddy of mine IMed me this morning - about a dozen guys were over on their SuperMotos, loading up for a 2 day adventure ride. Sounded like fun - maybe someday? :)
