(no subject)
Well, since Justin asked, here's my latest update. First off, I have to say I hope Jim Hayes is ok (he's the guy who collapsed on the ice; re: Rio's post). I played hockey growing up with both Jim and John. They're both great guys. Hope he's ok. What else is new? I got the new Green Day album for my birthday, and man is it good. EASILY the best GD album. The boys are all grown up and aren't writing and singing about masturbation anymore. Their music is tighter than ever with far more depth. And that's to say nothing about the fantastic lyrics.
As for work, it's going alright, but I'll be glad when April 18th comes. That's the day I have to have EVERYTHING done for the semester. I'll be coming home for a couple of days late April (you better have a BBQ by then Ronnie!!).
And how's this for a kick in the stones? Last year the gov't chopped off $4,100 from my provincial student loan. Great, right? Well, I get a letter about a week ago that explains I have to include that $4,100 as income for the 2004 year! So, instead of getting back about $600 in income tax, I have to pay in about $600!! I can't even begin to explain how much that doesn't make sense. I think it goes without saying that that $4,100 was NOT income. I certainly did not have it in my bank account. That, ladies and gentlemen, is horseshit. I don't see how that qualifies as taxable income. But I digress.
Finally, if you want to see a hilarious movie with great acting and brilliant dialogue (with an incredibly tight script), go see Sideways. Nuff said.
