It's all coming back to me
It has been two years since my last radio stint. The then-weekly Saturday 8pm-10pm slot consumed most of my 'primetime'. I have to give dinner gatherings a miss and often wrapped up my Saturday pretty early. Though the experience was not all good, I still do miss talking over the air, or to myself in the studio. So when the opportunity to be appear as a weekly guest on a local station came, it didn't take me long to consider. Afterall, all I need is to dispense information that I'm pretty comfortable with.
The first visit to MC studio sort of rekindled a tiny weeny bit of DJ-instinct. Once the mike went live, you could toggle that switch in you to speak differently- clearer and slower. It was all fun cos I don't have to manage the control panel or to ensure there is no dead air. I just have to talk. Great.
