Excruciating pain seared own her back as she leaned over in the plus bed, which she laid in before. She knew it wasn’t from the fresh beatings she had received that night. No, she had gotten used to that, but this was different. A gasp slowly escaped from her lips as she slipped off the bed and on her side. Clenching her eyes tightly she felt along

Upon walking into the alleyway, he noticed the many animals that gathered, some of them fleeing as he approached the girl that was lying in a heap behind the rather repulsive trash cans.
Pausing for a moment to recognize the girl, he found himself slowly kneeling down next to her, paying the animals no notice even when they gave him a vicious look to back off. He wasn't going to do anything... nothing to harm this girl.
"You suffer quite a lot, child. I know how it feels..." he whispered, though mostly under his breath as he gently lifted the neko girl up into his arms, and carried her out of the alleyway, breaking into a flit as he headed somewhere a little nicer--an alleyway, for such a tormented child was not at all suitable.

Slowly lavendar orbs opened to look at him, there appearing to be no pupil but just full color iris as she watched him. She listened to what he said, yet did not say anything and allowed him to pick her up. Her eyes began to close as she relaxed somewhat, trying to get over the pain from the wings that had emerged from her back.

After cleaning and bandaging the girl up, he lifted her up again, walking over to rest her beneath a large willow tree covered in soft vines, nocturnal flowers in full bloom here and there. Placing her hands in her lap, he finally stood, taking another glance down at her before he walked back over towards the stream. It certainly was peaceful--for a place in the ningenkai.

Karasu turned back to look at her again, watching as the strange phenomenon toik place. Smiling lightly under his mask, he watched as the girl slept.
"You have something that transcends far beyond a simple talent... I certainly hope that you use it wisely, child..." he whispered thoughtfully, the smile never leaving his face as he stepped back over to the girl and sat down next to her, watching after her for the remainder of the night...

"No need to be startled, child... I do not plan on bringinig any harm to you..." he said softly, as he leaned back against the tree again, also squinting against the morning sunlight.
"I suggest that you rest for a little while longer... give yourself some time to recover." he stated blankly. It was hard to tell what the crow youkai was really thinking.

Her eyes closed tightly. memories comming back as he touched her shoulder and she stayed still. Leaning back slowly agaist the tree she nodded her head, not so worried about if he was going to attack her. Looking up at him she blinked, tilting her head to the side. "Why did you help me...?"

Karasu paused for a moment, a bit surprised that the girl would ask that, for really, he himself didn't have enough of a particular reason--to him anyway.
The youkai chuckled softly, "... I suppose that I dislike seeing anyone suffer unless it's by my hand. Anyone else, if possibly crueler than myself, I find it ridiculous that one must suffer so much and not simply die afterwards. To suffer... I know what it is like." he replied quite casually for such a subject. Now suffering really didn't mean much to him at all... It was in the past--for now so he hoped.
