The boat is beautifully decorated, a medley of flowers covering the entire funeral site. Mourners, human and demon alike, gather at the urn to pay their last respects, before Genkai's ashes are lost to the sea. Botan walked over to the picture, but couldn't quite bring herself to say her goodbyes. She had worn her nicest kimono for the occasion, and had her hair swept in an updo, but no matter how nice she looked, it couldn't compensate for the fact that she was speechless.
Of course, it didn't help that she had been the one to ferry Genkai off.

After Yusuke left, the redhead turned back spotting the death deity wearing an elegant kimono, but her demeanor was not bright. It was evident, she had been the one to ferry Genkai's soul. "Botan," Kurama greeted her taking some steps closer to the spirit maiden. His calm gaze resting upon her, comfortingly.

Botan started slightly, having been zoning out lost in thought, before turning to Kurama. She put on a cheery (not entirely false, but not entirely true, either) smile. "Oh, hello, Kurama, I didn't see you!" she greeted.

"I have also been distracted tonight."
And he glanced back at the temple, noticing few still remained. Some left, others were entering, soon the wake would conclude. "She pleased with her life, I am almost certain," he commented, somewhat asking Botan to confirm his thoughts.

"She was, actually. She seemed really happy with the way things have gone," Botan replied, smiling a little.
Looking at it, it was really Yusuke she had been concerned about, more than Genkai.
