- Always remember to pack the gorget
- It is actually possible to block a shot with your sword, as well as your sheild
- It is possible to see shots coming in using the sight line of one eye around the sheild. I was actually getting comfortable with this when I realized I was not wearing my gorget, which was at home in the rapier kit..sigh
