Jap Lesson i've @ 12th June...
I know i'm VERY late to tell my experience for the Jap lesson i've...but is better than i don't share it, wasn't it?
Anyway, that day i'm also having my part-time job too, thus I ask my store-in-charge for early off due to this event. I was very lucky that i can find someone to replace me that day, so after the morning work (from 9am to 12pm), i quickly rushed home to get my things for the lesson, without any lunch.
Before the actual day, i tried to call my club adviser(was it spell like this?) for the meeting place and time( oh yeah, he was also the one who teaches us the Japanese lesson). The time i've to settle by myself, since everyone is asking, but the meeting place is where i can make sure everyone can find the place easily. Really, i was very lucky, again, that the last minute call i can get him to pick up the phone, since only that day (sunday) I'm working during morning. And also can get a venue where 30 students can gather together for the lesson ^^b. I hope i can make a curse for my senpai-tachi, since they forced me to be the in-charge of the event*curses*
Since from where i'm live to NYP(my school) needs about 1h to travel, i tried to find a place to sit in train and bus so that i can catch a nap, as i'm very tired after my job.
After reaching school, I went to the meeting place and bring everyone who is coming to the lesson to the tutorial room, where the teacher has been waiting for long (yeah....3mins late for the actual time). When everyone had settled down, Ota sensei begains his lesson.
1st thing we learn is the greetings that is comman used in japs, like "dozo" (please) , "domo [arigato gozaimasu]" (thank you very much). Then he explains about using introductions to people, and also jokes with us about his name when he tells us about the family names and own name in Jap.
His name is Ota Kenji, where some people wrote his name in short as "Mr Ota K." If anyone knows, Singapore has a food called "Otah", where it's 2 spelling: Otak and Otah. Now get my meaning? ^__^ (he told us don't write this way =P)
Btw he told us he was shock that as during his 1st trip to Singapore, before he teaches our school, someone knows his name! He has no relatives none friends in Singapore, so he was wondering who's that calling him, then he turned around and saw the food seller who is selling otah.*LMAO*
After the "joke", he told us some geography and History of Japan, which he also told us which time and season is the best time to go (Tell everyone the next time when i'm free =D ). I'm preparing to go there once i have enough money ^^.
Before ending the lesson, he teaches us the japanese chart and the numbers. To conclude, before everyone goes, he told us the greetings using in the class (kiri, rei, sayonara). Oh yeah, the main committes of my Jap club got a meeting after lesson, which ends up that i'm having my lunch at 4.30pm, almost near dinner time....... T_T
Last but not least, I hope i didn't got any Japanese romaji spelling spelled wrongly, if there's any, please tell me, Thanks!
*There's questions i wanted to ask those who knows Jap very well. That's: What is the real romaji spelling for "teacher"? 1. Sensei or 2.Sensee?
There is other qns i want to ask, but i think i've forgot what's that =P
