Dario Argento to Direct Dracula in 3D"Just announced (at the Cannes Film Festival), Dario Argento's DRACULA in 3D, filming in Italy January, period setting." Argento will write and direct, putting his stamp on the legend.
Hmmmmm . . . well, I have some reservation with that. I love Argento's earlier effors like
Suspiria and
Opera and
Tenebre, but the last thing I saw from him, the long awaited
La Terza Madre/The Mother of Tears was far less than great (had some neat ideas, but just fell flat.)
He has another new one I haven't seen yet,
Giallo. So maaaaaaaaybe he's made a return to form? And maaaaaaaybe it will carry over into Dracula?
Just hope he doesn't cast his daughter
Asia Argento in this. She's been crap in everything I've seen her.
