Because otherwise, I would have to cry beat someone or something into a pile of goo in a fit of rage.
So a couple of weeks ago, my mother says I've been sent a summons for jury duty in Burlington County, NJ. Obviously, they haven't gotten word from the post office that I don't live in Burlington County, NJ anymore or something like that. So I send in the summons with the declaration that I no longer live in Burlington County, NJ along with my PA Drivers' License number.
All should be hunky-dory right?
WRONG!!!
They sent my mom's house another message saying that I didn't show up for my assigned jury duty. :grumbles:
Now I have to try and deal with some bureau bum on the phone to sort this mess out. That should be fun.
But ohhhhhhh, it gets better.
Getting home last night in PA, I now find that Montgomery County, PA has summoned me for jury duty. Does it get any better than this?

At least the CDs that I ordered from TowerRecords.com when they had that sale have finally come in the mail as well. Don't really mind the wait as they are some difficult to find discs being all oldies and such. Here . . . listen and enjoy the cheesy goodness with me!
If yer familiar with the Blues Brothers movie, you'll know this song . . . but did you know that the original featured a 16 year-old Steve Winwood on the organ and vocals?
Gimme Some Lovin' - The Spencer Davis Group It's crazy but there was a no. 1 single in America from Japan--sung in Japanese no less--way back in 1963. It was called "Ue o muite arukō" ("Looking up while walking") sung by Kyu Sakamoto, but since us dumb americans wouldn't take to the original Japanese title, the record execs decided to rename it, "Sukiyaki". Why Sukiyaki? Because Americans were familiar with that Japanese word . . . even though the song had nothing to do with Sukiyaki XD I think I'm gonna try to sing this at an anime con's karaoke since they now allow J-pop and J-rock tunes--and this is the original J-pop tune released in America, right?!?
Sukiyaki - Kyu Sakamoto If it sounds familiar, it was remade twice and given different English lyrics by A Taste of Honey in the 70s and 4PM in the 90s.
And here's two tracks from uber-cheezy 60s California band, The Association
