So. Much. Bun.

This past weekend was awesome.

Saturday I hit up Diedre/trehggr99's gradumication/going to Japan pool party (otherwise known as Diedrepalooza06.) There was much pool frolicking and burgers and hot dogs consumed . . . as well as general idiocy in this card game where we all made the cards. Here are a few pics:

I only took a few pics . . .

Cat/lady_ava took these with my camera . . .

(I look . . . stupid XD )

(The Legend of the Hidden Temple fools made an appearance as you can see)

(Dave enjoys looming over . . . )

Sadly though . . . neither of us took any pics of the guest of honor, Diedre!!! Sowwy Diedre!!

The party went on for many hours (with lots of cake consumed in the process), until those who travelled a great distance had to go home. Twas good times to say the least!

And I also gave Krys/windaria some  drugs  ginseng and gingko biloba to help her with her final exam. Hope it helps (since ginseng helps with the body's usage of oxygen, and ginkgo helps with the flow of oxygen to the brain to help with memory.)

Yesterday, Dave/chef_gouki and I headed up to North Jersey for a few things. I wanted to pick up the pillow I left at the hotel we stayed in for Anime Next. They didn't have it despite their saying they'd hold onto it for me :grumbles:

We then met up with Marc and Berit and headed off this awesome game store with (Dave's friend James to meet up with us later), Digital Press. It's a hardcore/retro gamer's wet dream of a place--so much old and new games to get gotten there!. I didn't want to spend too much, so I just picked up two items:

Woooo! Pirates!!! (I so loved this show!!)

I had this magazine years ago, but lost it in a fire . . .
. . . plus, I'm a Turbo Grafx whore.

After that, we went off to the Clinton Station Diner to see if Dave and I could tackle Atlas, this diner's 3 lb burger (and that's after cooking!) Needless to say . . . we were quite humbled. I learned that, just because you can eat a 1 lb burger from Cheeburger Cheeburger, doesn't mean you handle a pound and a half of burger from this diner!!

It's a really, really awesome diner where the grounds are even decorated nicely

This is Atlas . . . doesn't look like much, hmmmm?

Well, here it is with Dave's hand for some scale!

The burger was delicious to say the least. The bun was baked in the diner so that was even good (and they grilled the bun for even more flavor--or BUTTEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!) The meat was juicy. There was so much flavor that you didn't need any condiments. Only problems was . . . THERE WAS SOOOOOOO MUCH BUN!! That's what fills you up the most. Dave and I could only finish half of this monstrosity.

We had this much left over

Here's what was left on my plate

And here's what was left on Dave's plate

I didn't feel sick or anything after that, but the bread was just soooooo filling. You could probably feed your whole damn family with one of those!! Crazy thing is, they have even larger burgers than that; the 7 lb Zeus burger, and the 50 lb Mount Olympus burger!!

After that, Dave and I continued onto PA while Marc and Berit took off for their abode in Moonachie. Marc has some pics of us trying to consume this thing, so I'll post those when they become available.

Dave and I stopped off in Allentown, PA to grab some of the magical elixir known as Frozen Run Birch Beer . . . and elixir that has eluded us until now. I also stopped off at Arby's for an Orange and Cream swirl Milkshake (because there's nothing like a good shake after a good burger, right?)

Now, I better actually do some work!

clinton station diner, enormous burgers, video games, digital press, so much bun!, diedrepalooza, frozen run
